Mitsubishi Has Recently Made Its 40,000th Xpander In Malaysia

The eventual owner of the 40,000th Xpander will also be going home with a RM 10,000 travel voucher.

Mitsubishi Motor Malaysia (MMM) has recently announced that is has just made its 40,000th Xpander over here. This comes in less than four short years since production of the MPV first kicked-off locally in Pekan, back in late 2020.

And to celebrate this remarkable feat, the Japanese automaker has since launched an exciting campaign to hunt for the lucky 40,000th Xpander customer. The eventual owner of this rather special milestone MPV will be rewarded with a grand prize of a RM 10,000 travel voucher, allowing them to embark on a vacation of their choice.

Aside from this grand prize now, MMM has also stated for there to currently be a ‘full range of rewards’ available at all authorised showrooms awaiting prospective buyers of the Xpander as well. Its dealers will be having a nationwide showroom event from 13 – 28 July 2024, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, where visitors can expect special rebates and bonuses on this aforementioned MPV and its Triton pickup.

Only one version of the Xpander is currently available locally thus far, with it to retail from RM 100,980. This 7-seater from Mitsubishi is to be Malaysia’s No. 1 non-national MPV in Malaysia for the first half of this year, with it having continually held on to this title since at least 2023.

The continued sales success over here of the Xpander has certainly contributed quite a lot to Mitsubishi’s ability in comfortably keeping its fifth-place spot on the annual local sales rankings too, with this being especially true when given that the tri-diamond marque is only has two cars in its product lineup over here right now.

2020 Mitsubishi Xpander

“Our journey in Malaysia has been nothing short of extraordinary and reaching the 40,000th unit sales milestone for the Xpander is a testament to the trust and loyalty of our customers,” said Shinya Ikeda, CEO of MMM.

He added, “Since the Xpander’s introduction to Malaysian roads in 2020, the locally assembled MPV has consistently captivated customers with its stylish design, good handling, and superior drivability. We hope that the Xpander has brought many enjoyable adventures for our customers and that they continue to Live Life Beyond Limits with the Xpander.”
