Mitsubishi Adds Some Aggression To Its Triton AT Premium

Some might just say for Mitsubishi to be sending off its current Triton in style before the new model arrives.

Mitsubishi Malaysia has since dolled up a few AT Premium variants of its Triton with a few tasty accessories, in what shall charitably be called a sporty send-off for its current iteration of pickup before the new one inevitably comes in very soon.

Available only in a White Diamond Hue, the dealer-installed mods made to this Triton starts up front with a new red-accented bumper garnish. All four corners of this pickup truck meanwhile features 18-inch black alloy rims with chunky Yokohama Geolander AT G015 off-road tyres, which are then to be complemented by black-painted wheel arch extensions.

Similarly black on these Tritons are to be the new dynamic sports bar sitting atop its truck bed, in addition to the new window visors. There is nevertheless a significant chunk of red to go along with the black on the new decals, which have since been applied to the rear quarters and tailgate of this accessorised pickup.

The mild modifications continue further within this Triton AT Premium, with the cabin enhanced by illuminated scuff plates and a new embroidered headrest design (that incidentally matches the decals on its exterior). Under its hood however remains the same 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel, which as its stock form produces here 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque.

And as with the stock Triton AT Premium, this dolled-up version naturally also comes with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control (TC), Rest Reminder, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Trailer Stability Assist (TSA). This pickup is equipped too with a Driving Video Recorder (DVR), offered by MMM authorized dealers as standard at all Mitsubishi Motors showrooms nationwide.
