Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has announced revised pricing for the Hyundai TUCSON range in Malaysia, with the latest adjustment bringing lower prices across all three available variants.
The new pricing takes effect immediately, with the TUCSON 1.6T Prime now starting from RM159,800. The TUCSON 1.6T Prestige AWD is priced at RM179,800, while the TUCSON Prestige HEV now costs RM189,800.
Compared with the previous prices, the TUCSON Prime has been reduced from RM164,888, while the Prestige AWD drops from RM186,888. The Prestige HEV also sees a reduction from RM197,888.
According to HMY, the pricing revision is part of its effort to provide greater value to customers and make premium SUV ownership more accessible in Malaysia. The company said the move supports its “Sentiasa di sisi anda” promise while allowing customers to get the same TUCSON with a lower starting price.
Importantly, there are no changes to the specifications, equipment or safety technologies of the SUV as a result of the price adjustment.
The Hyundai TUCSON continues to come with Hyundai SmartSense across all three variants. The safety and driver assistance package is part of the standard equipment range, alongside the SUV’s existing comfort and convenience features.
The TUCSON is also Hyundai’s global bestselling SUV. Since it was introduced in 2004, more than 10 million units have been sold worldwide, making it an important model for the brand in different markets.
In Malaysia, the current TUCSON range gives buyers three different options depending on their requirements. The Prime serves as the entry point, while the Prestige AWD adds all-wheel drive. The Prestige HEV, meanwhile, offers a hybrid powertrain for customers looking for an electrified SUV option.
With the latest pricing, the TUCSON 1.6T Prime is now available at RM159,800, representing a RM5,088 reduction from its previous price. The 1.6T Prestige AWD is RM7,088 cheaper at RM179,800, while the Prestige HEV gets a RM8,088 reduction to RM189,800.
Despite the lower prices, HMY says customers will continue to receive the same Hyundai TUCSON they know, with its existing specifications, equipment and safety features remaining unchanged.
The revised prices give Malaysian buyers a lower entry point into the TUCSON range while keeping the current equipment and Hyundai SmartSense safety package intact.
