Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II Lands Locally From RM 2.5 Million

This price for the facelifted version of the ultimate Rolls-Royce limousine is to be before tax and customisation, of course…

To the multi-millionaires of Malaysia, here’s some news that is finally worth your attention, as the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Series II has finally landed locally.

First shown off nearly two years ago now in mid-2022, this mid-life update for ‘the best car in the world’ has at long last officially made it to our shores, and brings with it the slightest of changes to its exterior and interior.

How slight? Well, the set of discreet updates begin at the front with the slightest of geometric changes to its chromed nose, in order to make the ‘RR’ Badge of Honour and Spirit of Ecstasy mascot more prominent, especially when viewed from the front. Its Pantheon Grille has also gained a new polished upper bar to serve as a visual connection between the new sparklier-looking headlights, which comes courtesy of laser-cut bezel starlights like its Starlight Headliner.

Speaking of lights too, the updated Phantom has gained the option to have its Pantheon Grille illuminated as per in its smaller Ghost sibling. Though for those who prefer a meaner look, Rolls-Royce is to now offer as well a darkened chrome grille surround to go along with a new blacked-out option for the windscreen surround, hood reins, and side window trim.

The minor changes to the outside of this Rolls-Royce limousine is then rounded off with a selection of new 22-inch wheel options, which includes the rather steam-punk disc wheel that the automaker claims to be a nod to its cars from the 1920s. Made available in both polished stainless steel and black lacquer form, these retro-styled rollers join the another new set of 3D-milled items that feature triangular facets which can be fully or partially polished.

Moving on inside now, the series of slight changes continues with the slight thickening of its steering wheel rim to provide ‘a more immediate point of contact for the owner-driver’. New up front too is the debut of Rolls-Royce Connected, which enables the driver to send an address directly to the motorcar from the automaker’s private-members’ Whispers application, among other connected services.

As for those who prefer to sit behind meanwhile, Rolls-Royce has rather interestingly also added the a new fabric option for its rear thrones. Left untouched on the other hand is the silent brute of a twin-turbocharged V12 under that long bonnet, which still will be more than happy to output ‘sufficient’ power to waft its occupants around in the lap of luxury, before its inevitable EV replacement comes in due course.

To be available as in regular and extended wheelbase variants, this updated Phantom is currently to be commanding a price tag of RM 2.5 million and RM 2.9 million for the two respective lengths. It is worth highlighting of course for these figures to be exclusive of any tax imposed, in addition to the inevitable slew of options to be added to these limousines.
