Lambretta Launches All-New J200 at Art of Speed 2026
Classic Italian styling meets modern technology as Lambretta expands its Malaysian presence
Lambretta has officially introduced the all-new J200 at the 15th Annual Art of Speed 2026, marking the highly anticipated Malaysian debut of its latest retro-inspired scooter.
Inspired by the iconic Lambretta J Series of the 1960s, the new J200 combines timeless Italian styling with modern engineering and rider-focused technology. It retains Lambretta’s signature low-and-long silhouette, full steel monocoque body, and distinctive design DNA while delivering a refined urban riding experience for modern riders.
Powered by a 174.5cc liquid-cooled engine producing 17hp, the J200 is equipped with full LED lighting, a digital TFT display, the brand’s signature Double Arm-Link front suspension, and a comfortable 790mm seat height, making it well suited for everyday city commuting.
Alongside the J200, Lambretta also unveiled the new X250GP Speedster, featuring a sportier design inspired by classic Grand Prix racing motorcycles. Available in Aurora Grey Matte, Super Black, and Latte Brown, the updated model introduces fresh graphics and styling for riders seeking a more dynamic appearance.
Lambretta also announced a nationwide collaboration with VICO through the “VICO Bytes to Ride” campaign. Running from 1 August to 30 September 2026, the promotion will see eight winners selected each week to receive a special Lambretta J200 VICO Edition.
Demonstrating its continued commitment to the Malaysian market, the brand also revealed plans to expand its retail network with three new authorised showrooms in Shah Alam, Kota Bharu, and Setapak. The expansion increases Lambretta’s nationwide presence to 10 authorised dealerships, further strengthening customer access and aftersales support across the country.
