Mitsubishi Malaysia Aims To Speed Up Spare Parts Delivery

This initiative has lead Mitsubishi to move to a new parts warehouse in Shah Alam.

Mitsubishi customers could possibly now expect that spare parts for their vehicles will arrive more quickly, as Mitsubishi has just recently moved to a new parts warehouse in Shah Alam, Selangor. This migration to a new location was done as part of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s (MMM) expansion plan, in order to facilitate the increasing after-sales demand of its customers.

This new warehouse supposedly boasts up to 40,000 square feet of storage capacity. Adding to that, the firm claims that the ‘expansion will see an improvement in warehouse operations including consolidating all holdings under-one-roof’.

To the consumer however, this translates to parts being delivered sooner, as Mitsubishi has touted that this relocation aims to speed up the delivery of spare parts needed by all MMM authorised business partners nationwide, including its 52 dealers around the country.

CEO of MMM, Mr. Tomoyuki Shinnishi has touted that the strategic location of this new warehouse is a key factor for the move. Based in Shah Alam, the strategic location of this new warehouse, with easy access to the Federal and KESAS highway, in addition to the reduced traffic congestion around the new location, improves accessibility to and from the warehouse. Thus improving parts delivery times.

Although this news may not be of interest to anyone in particular, a new warehouse opening isn’t exactly the hot story of the day. That said though, it is stories like these that reminds consumers that after sales services are an important consideration in the car buying process to. Without naming names, there are many a car company that neglect this crucial component in its business, much to the detriment and frustration of owners of these car marques.

So for Mitsubishi, while perhaps not having the most awe-inspiring lineup ever, should at least be commended for taking the initiative to improve its customer’s after sales experience. It might be a small gesture, however it just could lead to a repeat customer.

PRESS RELEASE: MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM) the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, announced that the company has recently migrated to a new parts warehouse in Shah Alam, Selangor as part of an expansion plan to meet with increasing after sales demands.

With a storage capacity of up to 40,000 square feet, the expansion will see an improvement in warehouse operations including consolidating all holdings under-one-roof. This move will speed up delivery of parts required by all MMM authorized business partners including 52 dealers nationwide.

“The relocation of our warehouse is in line with the continuous growth of Mitsubishi Motors business in Malaysia. The new parts warehouse is located at a strategic location with less road congestion and easy access to Federal and KESAS highway.
