Allianz Insurance Enhances Its Motor Personal Accident Coverage

This Allianz motor personal accident coverage upgrade benefits for both two- and four-wheel users.
Likely arriving as an early Hari Raya gift to Malaysians, Allianz Insurance has recently announced that it has made a few enhancements to its motor personal accident coverage across both motorcycle and car insurance policies. This move comes in line with the insurer’s ongoing efforts to improve road safety, while making comprehensive yet affordable protection more accessible to everyday road users across the country.

Starting first with the enhancements for motorcyclists, those on two wheels who purchase or renew an Allianz Motorcycle Plus policy (whether Comprehensive or Third Party) between 3 March and 31 December 2026 will now be entitled a complimentary 2.5 times increase in Road Accident Coverage at no additional cost. This initiative targets one of the most vulnerable groups on Malaysian roads, offering greater financial protection in the event of serious accidents.
Under this limited-time offer, the sum insured for death or permanent disability caused by road accidents is increased from RM 10,000 to RM 25,000. The enhanced coverage also extends to pillion riders, and applies to motorcycles with an engine capacity of up to 250cc or 12 kW.

Moving on to those on four wheels, Allianz is introducing an affordable way for car owners to strengthen their insurance protection through the Drive Guard add-on, priced at just RM5 per year. Customers who purchase or renew an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy between 3 March and 31 December 2026 are eligible to opt for this add-on.
Drive Guard delivers a comprehensive range of benefits designed to ease the financial burden following an accident. This includes coverage of up to RM 50,000 for death or permanent disablement, along with a hospital income benefit of RM 50 per day for up to 60 days. Policyholders can also claim up to RM 2,000 for medical expenses, in addition to a bereavement allowance of RM 2,500.
Importantly, the Drive Guard add-on extends its protection to passengers as well, ensuring more comprehensive coverage for everyone in the vehicle. Altogether, these enhancements underline Allianz General’s continued focus on improving road safety, while encouraging Malaysians to adopt more robust and accessible motor insurance protection.

According to Allianz Insurance CEO Sean Wang, the move forms part of a broader commitment to safeguarding not only drivers, but also pillion riders and passengers. With road accidents remaining a persistent concern in Malaysia, these enhanced offerings aim to provide greater financial security and peace of mind, whether travelling on two wheels or four.
