Chery Malaysia Launches ‘With Chery With Love’ Owners Club

This new official Chery Malaysia owners club aims to unify its owners and promote closer ties with the automaker.

Chery ownership may now not necessarily be a solo experience anymore, as the Chinese automaker has recently announced the official local launch of its ‘With Chery With Love’ (WCWL) Official Chery Owners Club over here.

An initiative that was driven by the global vision of Chery International, the WCWL aims to act as a forum where like-minded car owners can can connect, share their experiences, and support one another. Much like any other owners club that is officially affiliated with the automaker too, Chery has hinted for the WCWL to be a means in bringing the brand closer to its customers, and ‘ensuring that their voices, needs, and desires are at the forefront of everything they do’.

“The very essence of WCWL is embedded in its name – “With Chery With Love.” This is more than just a tagline; it’s a commitment that Chery Malaysia makes to you, our car owners, Our purpose is simple yet profound: we want you to feel not just like car owners but as part of the Chery family,” said Ms. Celeste Lim, Senior Manager of PR, Branding & Marketing.

There has however been no concrete details thus far regarding the specific benefits that will be offered through the joining of this club, or even the procedure for interested Chery owners to sign up. Though it is expected that, like any other owners club which is officially affiliated with an automaker, there will likely be a curated online forum where owners can assist each other through the Chery ownership experience, in addition to the potential invitation to special events organised by the automaker.

And one such special event could be like the recently held 2023 Chery International User Co-Created Conference. Held at the automaker’s home base in Wuhu, China, this event saw Chery launch a global public welfare initiative, in addition to its pledge to co-build a green and ecological city.

Much like the local launch of its WCWL owners club however, the Chinese automaker has also been rather skint on details regarding its wider ecological initiatives. Such is exemplified with Chery having announced its plan to sign agreements with the UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) and the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), but not actually stating what those agreements entail.

In any case, it must be nevertheless commended for Chery to be proactive in taking care of its local customers and the wider world. Though let’s hope for everyone’s sake that this is not to be some promise big and deliver nothing type of deal…
