Royal Enfield Enters Local Record Books With 850-Rider Jamboree

Royal Enfield riders from across Malaysia gathered at Sepang to achieve a Malaysia Book of Records milestone.
Malaysian motorcycling history was quietly rewritten recently at the Sepang International Circuit, as no fewer than 850 Royal Enfield motorcycles gathered in one place to set a new national record. Officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records, this now stands as the largest Royal Enfield gathering ever held in the country.

Held at the nation’s home of MotoGP, the event saw Royal Enfield riders converge from every corner of Peninsular Malaysia. As the sun rose, Sepang slowly filled with the unmistakable thump and burble of single- and twin-cylinder Royal Enfields, eventually culminating in a sea of motorcycles spread across the iconic circuit.

Organised by Didi Group, Royal Enfield’s official distributor in Malaysia, the record-setting event brought together motorcycles from across the brand’s entire local line-up. Everything from heritage staples like the Bullet and Classic 350 to the Interceptor 650, Continental GT, Himalayan and Super Meteor 650 were present, highlighting the broad appeal Royal Enfield now enjoys across different rider profiles.

The Malaysia Book of Records entry was achieved through a large-scale Parade Ride followed by a mass gathering at the circuit, allowing riders to mark the milestone collectively. And while the record itself was the key achievement, the event also reflected the breadth of the Royal Enfield owner base, with riders of varying ages, backgrounds and cultures represented across the gathering.

Rewi Hamid Bugo, Chairman of Didi Group, described the activation as one that elevated both the brand and its community to the next level. He noted that bringing together 850 proud owners under one shared goal demonstrated the strength of the local Royal Enfield movement, adding that the energy throughout the event was undeniable. He also thanked Eicher Motors for its continued support, calling the achievement a meaningful and powerful start to 2026 for the brand in Malaysia.

Royal Enfield Chief Commercial Officer Yadvinder Singh Guleria echoed those sentiments, saying the company was delighted to enter the Malaysia Book of Records with a milestone that celebrates rider passion and community strength. He reiterated Royal Enfield’s focus on offering globally relevant, versatile motorcycles while continuing to expand its network and capabilities across the APAC region.
