Volvo EX30 Cross Country Launches In Malaysia From RM218,888

Volvo Car Malaysia has introduced the new EX30 Cross Country, the brand’s first fully electric Cross Country model, combining the compact EX30 SUV with additional equipment aimed at drivers who want to move between city streets and rougher terrain.

The locally assembled Volvo EX30 Cross Country is available for viewing at authorised Volvo dealers nationwide from today, priced from RM218,888 without insurance.

The model builds on Volvo’s Cross Country heritage, which began in 1997 with a vehicle developed to cope with demanding Scandinavian conditions. The EX30 Cross Country continues that approach with increased ground clearance, all-wheel drive and specific exterior detailing.

More Capability From The EX30

The EX30 Cross Country uses a twin-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 428 hp and 543 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Ground clearance has been increased by 19mm compared with the standard EX30, while 19-inch five-spoke wheels and a revised chassis are designed to improve comfort and stability over uneven surfaces.

The SUV also gets steering software tuned for improved torque build-up, active return and damping, helping provide greater control through tighter corners.

Power comes from a 69kWh NMC battery, providing up to 437km of WLTP range. Using a 175kW DC rapid charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 27 minutes.

For urban driving, the EX30 Cross Country features 360-degree environmental awareness using corner radars and multiple sensors. Volvo’s Safe Space Technology and driver assistance systems provide braking and steering support for collision avoidance, Driver Understanding, Pilot Assist and Park Pilot Assist.

Rugged Design, Practical Cabin

The Cross Country receives matt black and vapour grey exterior elements, including skid plates, lower bumpers and wheel arch extensions. A Cross Country nameplate on the C-pillar and CC logo at the rear further distinguish the model.

Inside, the cabin uses charcoal woven textile, Nordico upholstery, denim decor panels and blue air vents, while a panoramic roof adds more natural light.

The infotainment system centres around a 12.3-inch display with Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play Store apps. A Harman Kardon Premium Sound system is also included, alongside wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Storage capacity stands at 318 litres with all seats upright and up to 718 litres with the second row folded. Optional accessories include mud flaps, load carriers, a bicycle rack and roof basket.

Launch Offer And MY27 EX30 Ultra

The EX30 Cross Country is offered in Crystal White, Vapour Grey and Cloud Blue. The first 100 reservations receive a RM12,000 cash rebate, Volvo Wallbox worth RM3,990, Load Carrier worth RM2,098 and Roof Basket worth RM3,680.

Meanwhile, the MY27 EX30 Ultra is now priced from RM198,888 without insurance, with four exterior colours including Onyx Black.

Volvo Car Malaysia has also introduced its Digital Service Booking system through its website and Volvo Cars App. Initially available through authorised retailers in the Klang Valley, the service is planned for expansion to other regions.
