The performance BMW coupe is set to arrive here in June next year.
BMW Malaysia has recently announced that the M4 Competition is set to arrive here in a couple months time. Having recently only made its global debut two months ago, pre-bookings for this performance Bavarian coupe is currently open on the BMW Shop Online platform.
Much like its performance sedan M3 Competition counterpart, the M4 Competition is also arriving locally in two flavours. The former being the standard BMW M4 Competition, and the latter being the BMW M4 Competition with Innovation Package.
Prices for the standard car during this promotional pre-booking period is slated to be RM 684,800, while the addition of the Innovation Package bumps the price up by RM 56k to RM 740,800. After the 31st of December however, the price for the Innovation Package option jumps by a further RM 20k.
Such is the case with the M3 Competition, the Innovation Package adds a host of niceties to this German performance coupe. The highlights of which include BMW Laserlight, BMW Connected Package Professional, BMW Heads Up Display and a glass sunroof.
Also included within the Innovation Package are BMW Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant with Reversing Assistant, which adds active safety aids such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert to the M4 Competition. Other features included within the Innovation Package are a Harmon Kardon surround sound system, M seat belts and various other interior garnishes.
Both variants however feature the same 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged M-tuned straight-six under the hood, and is mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission with Drivelogic which sends power to solely the rear wheels. Performance specs for the M4 competition are 510 hp at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm of torque from 2,750 to 5,500 rpm, with a 0-100 km/h time identical to its M3 Competition counterpart of 3.9 seconds.
A RM 5,000 pre-booking fee is all it takes to secure one of these performance BMW coupes, with deliveries tentatively stated to take place in June next year.

Both the incoming new models are available for pre-booking on the BMW Shop Online platform from now until 31st December 2020 at RM5,000 each. The BMW Innovation Package will also be available as an option for both new models to offer prospective owners a Premium Ownership Experience that is truly their own.
Prospective owners are also entitled to special pricing and offerings for the All-New BMW M3 Competition and the All-New BMW M4 Competition Coupé – including being the first few customers to receive their vehicles in 2021.
