Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 To Arrive In Malaysia In March 2027
Harley-Davidson has unveiled the new Sprint 440, a lightweight mid-size motorcycle that will make its public debut at EICMA 2026. The model is scheduled to arrive in Malaysia in March 2027.
The Sprint 440 was designed and engineered by Harley-Davidson in partnership with Hero MotoCorp. For the Malaysian market, final assembly will take place at Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations.
The motorcycle uses a 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. It produces 27hp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine features a single overhead camshaft and two valves, alongside electronic fuel injection.
A gear-driven counter-balancer helps reduce engine vibration. Its long-stroke configuration is designed to deliver stronger low-speed torque for urban riding. Harley-Davidson also claims combined city and highway fuel consumption of up to 2.9 litres per 100km.
Power goes to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission. Fifth and sixth gears feature overdrive ratios to reduce engine speed during highway cruising. The clutch also includes assist-and-slip functionality to reduce lever effort and help manage traction during downshifts.
The Sprint 440 has a ready-to-ride weight of 187kg and a fuel tank capacity of nine litres. Its laden seat height measures 671mm, while its narrow profile and tapered seat are designed to make it easier for riders to reach the ground.
Braking comes from a 320mm front disc with a two-piston caliper and a 240mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. ABS comes as standard.
The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminium wheels. Tyre sizes are 100/90-19 at the front and 150/60ZR17 at the rear.
Technology features include a 3.5-inch round colour TFT display with speedometer, tachometer, odometer and trip meter functions. The motorcycle also receives full LED lighting and a USB-C charging port above the headlamp.
The Sprint 440 will be offered in Dark Billiard Gray, Vivid Black and Teal Thunder. All three colours feature an orange tank graphic and a Harley Hare character graphic on the side cover.
Harley-Davidson will also offer several accessories for the model. These include throw-over saddlebags, a passenger backrest, alternative seats, a solo seat and a Willie G Skull accessory collection.
Other available accessories include a different handlebar, engine guard and detachable clear windshield. The Reach and Tallboy seats provide alternative riding positions for riders of different heights.
The Sprint 440 will make its public debut at EICMA in Milan from 5 to 8 November 2026. Its Malaysian arrival is scheduled for March 2027.
