Thai Tuner Turns Cutesy Good Cat Into A Mean GT3 RS Lookalike

Lumga Design’s new bodykit properly brings out the Porsche that has been hiding in the Ora Good Cat.
Ever since its initial debut in 2020, anyone who has working vision will likely have made the link on how the Ora Good Cat looks more than a bit like what Porsche might have come up with if they were to build a hatchback. In fact, with its curved front fenders, rounded nose and bug-eyed headlights after all, this Chinese EV looks more like a poor man’s Stuggart stallion than its modern day Volkswagen Beetle spiritual predecessor.

And if just so happens that any Good Cat owner wishes to perhaps spice up their EVs (at least in the looks department anyway) to emulate one of the more aspirational Porsche models, your wish may just be granted by the Thai-based Lumga Design. Such is because after having dabbled with bodykits for the BYD Dolphin and MG3, they have since worked their magic in turning this cutesy Ora into a (vaguely passable) 911 GT3 RS lookalike.

Now starting from the front, the transformation from cute EV to hot 911-esque hatchback begins with a new bumper that features much larger but purely decorative intakes and front splitter. A similarly faux scoop right under the hood further adds to the Porsche vibe, with the (likely stick-on) massive black front fender vents really not unlike those currently featured on the latest 992-generation of GT3 RS.

Other aesthetic add-ons that have been incorporated by Lumga Design to further sell this GT3 RS look on this Ora includes deep black side skirts that mimics what is on the Porsche, in addition to a rear bumper extension with an integrated diffuser. And while the track-focused Stuggart stallion’s massive rear wing is not to be found anywhere on this Chinese EV, the Thai tuner nevertheless also offers the choice of having adding another tiny wing (on top of the Good Cat’s standard roof spoiler) tacked onto the boot lid right beneath rear glass.

In speaking of choice too, those who prefer a more toned-down GT3 Touring aesthetic can apparently go for keep the stock fenders and replace only the bumpers. Another cool option that is supposedly on offer meanwhile is the tinted headlights surrounded by black trim.
Unfortunately however, Lumga Design does not offer any performance or chassis upgrades for the Good Cat to cash the cheques its GT3 RS looks is writing. That said, with the Ora being an EV, its instant torque would indeed feel like it has more get-up-and go than its 143 PS and 7.9-second century sprint time that one might initially have thought.

For those interested in transforming their Ora Good Cat into a 911 GT3 RS lookalike, the bodykit is apparently available for order through a company named Amotriz and is going for an actually rather reasonable THB42,000 (RM 5,600). Though don’t be surprised if you’re not the only one with this budget Taycan, as Lumga Design’s official Facebook page already showcases numerous Thai EV owners who have embraced the Porsche-inspired aesthetics in various configurations.
