To those who want to experience Swedish luxury and style for less, best make yourself free next weekend then. Such is as the Volvo is set to host an exclusive Volvo Executive Car Sales event, with pre-owned example of its vehicles wearing price tags that start from as low as RM 165,000!
Taking place at Symphony Square, Petaling Jaya on the weekend of the 19th and 20th October, this sales extravaganza will feature over 50 Volvo SELEKT cars from Volvo Car Malaysia’s corporate fleet, including those used exclusively by the company’s management.
All cars on sale do not exceed 15,000 km in mileage, with the lowest clocking in at only 1,200 km. As recently registered cars as well, all models come with a substantial balance of Volvo’s five-year unlimited mileage warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance, and digital services connectivity. The fully electric models also add a complimentary five-year Volvo Service Inclusive and an additional eight-year warranty on the high-voltage battery pack, with the same substantial balance applied.
The fully electric models featured at the Volvo Executive Car Sales event are the C40 and XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, which offer up to 550 km of electric range. Both feature upwards of 330 Nm of torque for blisteringly fast acceleration, going to 100 km/h from standstill in under five seconds.
For those with a penchant for long-roofs meanwhile, the V60 Recharge might be just the car for you. This rather rare Volvo (on Malaysian roads at least) features a capacious 519 litres of rear storage space, expandable to 1,431 litres with the rear seats folded.
And with this being the PHEV variant, the V60 Recharge can go up to 90 km on pure electric power alone, while consuming as little as 1.4 litres of petrol per 100 km on hybrid mode. Though perhaps the figure that will be most impressive to those with some fire up their arses is that this Volvo packs a combined 462 hp from its supercharged and turbocharged electrified four-pot powertrain, which is apparently good enough for a century sprint claim of 4.6 seconds.
Now for those who are perhaps unfamiliar, Volvo SELEKT is the brand’s official quality used cars programme and promises a premium experience for customers through dedicated service and quality assurance. Once a car qualifies under Volvo SELEKT, it will receive a 125-point inspection and have its software upgraded to the latest technology.
Any replacements will be fitted with genuine Volvo parts to ensure that they are road-ready and deliver optimal performance. Most importantly, all the services and upgrades are conducted by trained Volvo technicians.
