The Maxus T60 pickup truck has just been launched in Malaysia and it is at all Weststar showrooms nationwide.
This pickup truck is manufactured by SAIC Motor under the Maxus brand since November 2016. The original 2.8L T60 pickup truck made its debut at the 2016 Guangzhou International Motor Show in Guangzhou, China. Now comes the facelift with a few tweaks that might interest Malaysians looking for a lower priced pickup truck for farming or work duties.
The T60 is powered by a 2.4-litre engine that returns a decent 136hp and 360Nm of torque which is way below what the new Japanese pickup trucks are delivering today. Having said that, the price of RM99,000 is also not that much lower than the basic Japanese pickup trucks currently leading the segment, like the Navara, D-Max and Triton.
We will wait and see how this truck performs when we get a test drive unit.
