Isuzu ends March with record-breaking sales
Isuzu managed to achieve their best monthly sales performance nationally in March. This was thanks to the newly launched Isuzu D-Max that propelled the company’s success. There were a total of 1,233 registrations for this new D-Max, which breaks their previous record of 885 units which was achieved back in December 2014.
It seems that the Isuzu D-Max is attracting a lot of attention in Malaysia. It was first launched in April 26 last year, and it has been steadily gaining popularity. The pickup truck also brought home multiple “Pick-Up of the Year” awards for the company.

The all-new third-generation Isuzu D-Max recorded a national sales record in March 2022, chalking the company’s highest monthly sales tally since its inception in 2005.
Official figures reveal that Isuzu Malaysia recorded 1,233 registrations of the impressive new Isuzu D-Max in March, buoyed by a generous shipment received to address the backlog of orders. The new figure eclipses the company’s previous record of 885 units recorded in December 2014 following the introduction of the highly-popular 3.0-litre V-Cross variant.
Chief Operating Officer of Isuzu Malaysia Kenkichi Sogo said that the ramped-up deliveries from the factory allowed Isuzu Malaysia to relieve some of the customers’ wait for their new vehicles. “As a customer-centric brand where our owners depend on Isuzu vehicles to serve them faithfully, our priority was to hasten supply to meet the increased demand for this highly-popular and versatile pick-up truck,” said Sogo. “I wish to thank our customers who have eagerly and patiently waited for their brand new Isuzu D-Max. We hope to continue ramping up supplies over the coming months to further reduce the waitlist for our vehicles,” he added.
The increased supply that was achieved through additional allocation from the factory meant that the top variant delivered in March was of the 1.9 Premium Auto variant with close to 350 units finding their owners. As a popular choice of Malaysians, the 1.9 Premium Auto variant delivers stylish design, excellent driving performance, premium interior features and the lowest road tax in its segment representing everything desirable in a pick-up truck.
Demand for the popular flagship X-Terrain variant was also met with an increase of 163 deliveries although this model, one of the most popular globally was met with limited supplies. This variant that boasts highly-advanced safety and comfort features has proven to be an ideal choice for users who want a pick-up truck that ticks all the right boxes.
