Aprilia Racing Targets Strong Follow-Up in Hungary After Historic Mugello Success
Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín head to Balaton Park Circuit aiming to maintain momentum in Round 8 of the season

Aprilia Racing heads to Hungary for the eighth round of the season at the Balaton Park Circuit, looking to build on a landmark weekend at Mugello that further strengthened the team’s championship campaign.

Marco Bezzecchi arrives in Hungary as the championship leader following an outstanding performance at Mugello, where he secured pole position and claimed his first premier-class victory at the iconic Tuscan circuit. The triumph marked Bezzecchi’s fourth win of the season and carried special significance as it was achieved on home soil for both the rider and Aprilia Racing.
Meanwhile, Jorge Martín heads into the Hungarian round with confidence after securing two second-place finishes in Mugello across the Sprint Race and Grand Prix, further demonstrating the competitiveness of the Aprilia RS-GP26.
Located near Lake Balaton, the Balaton Park Circuit officially opened in 2023 and returned Hungary to the MotoGP calendar after a 33-year absence. The 4.08km circuit features 17 corners, comprising ten left-handers and seven right-handers, presenting a unique challenge for riders and teams alike.
