X50, City, Almera and Xpander Now Added To GoCar Subs

Monthly GoCar Subs subscriptions for these cars start from RM 1,799 for a 36 month term.

Tired of being stuck at the end of an increasingly long waiting list for your new car, or just tired of the whole car buying experience altogether, but still want a new car in the new year? Well, GoCar Subs might just be the thing for you.

That is because GoCar Subs has recently been added four of the hottest new car models in Malaysia to its fleet. These four new cars come in the form of the new Honda City (mid-spec 1.5E), new Nissan Almera Turbo (mid-spec VLP), new Proton X50 (top-spec 1.5 TGDi Flagship) and new Mitsubishi Xpander.

Classed in the EXEC category of the subscription plan, these four cars offered here are available with either 12, 24 or 36-month subscription plans. Monthly subscriptions rates meanwhile begin at RM 1,799 for the 36 month term, before rising to RM 1,999 and RM 2,199 for the 24 and 12 month subscriptions respectively.

As with any other GoCar Subs subscription, the monthly rate includes road tax, insurance, scheduled maintenance, roadside assistance and door-to-door service. These particular set of cars offered here come with the GoCar SWAP program included in the subscription too.

To those unfamiliar with the GoCar Subs SWAP program, typically, for a one-time swapping fee of RM 250, subscribers to this add-on service are granted the flexibility of swapping between any model in the fleet. These swaps can occur for a maximum of two times in a year, with the fees and security deposits adjusted accordingly to the vehicle that was swapped to.

More information about these new additions to the GoCar Subs fleet, in addition to further details on the SWAP scheme, can be found in the press release below.

PRESS RELEASE: GoCar, Malaysia’s leading on-demand car-sharing platform, today launched the addition of four brand-new in-demand models to its subscription programme, GoCar Subs.

The expansion of GoCar Subs’ garage is in line with the company’s commitment to offer a practical and more affordable alternative to conventional hire-purchase loans.

Highly popular amongst Malaysian consumers, the four new models on GoCar Subs’ platform are the New Honda City, New Nissan Almera Turbo, New Proton X50 and New Mitsubishi Xpander.

Under GoCar’s streamlined ‘One Price’ structure, all four models are offered in the EXEC category with the options of one-year, two-year and three-year subscription plans.

Why buy? Subscribe!

Given the all-inclusive fees under GoCar Subs, customers will enjoy more total savings when they opt for the subscription model as compared to a hire-purchase loan, which does not cover the cost of ownership.

The table below details the total costs in the first year for a 36-month subscription of the four new models vs. a five-year hire-purchase loan – the most common loan tenure as consumers generally tend to purchase a new car after five years.

Furthermore, customers of GoCar Subs not only benefit from the most affordable multi-brand car subscription programme in the market, they also need not worry about being locked-in to long-term loan tenures and vehicle depreciation costs.

With GoCar Subs’ ‘SWAP’, customers have flexibility of swapping to any model in the garage, with the option of two swaps per year. All they have to do is make a one-time swapping fee of RM250 and they will have access to three different models to suit their needs. The monthly fee and security deposit is adjusted accordingly based on the category of models they select.

As such, customers are able to experience all the new models available – start with the Almera, then try out the X50 and then move on to the Xpander and City later in their subscription term. Customers can also select any other model available within the garage.
