Triumph Street Triple 765 RX First Ride review

Ride and review of the precise and refined Triumph Street Triple 765 RX

The cockpit on the Triumph Street Triple RX is a beautiful sight, from the blue accents on the clip-ons to the polished steel finish on the brackets. The TFT display is not overwhelming and displays all we need to see, no need for massive 20 Inch displays. The Street Triple RX is a dedicated performance machine.

The Street Triple 765 RX is easily one of the best-handling bikes I’ve ridden. It feels incredibly light yet remains planted and stable at all times. The clip-ons and slightly aggressive setup mean it takes a bit more effort to flick into a corner compared to a standard handlebar setup, but wherever you point the nose, it dives in with confidence and precision.

The Öhlins suspension transforms it into a proper track weapon. It offers exceptional feedback and composure under hard riding, though it may feel slightly firm or aggressive for daily commuting. The front braking is extremely strong, thanks to the dual Brembo discs. In fact, they’re almost too sharp for my liking as I managed to trigger the ABS in one of the corners, which didn’t feel great.

Power delivery is impressively smooth and predictable, with a consistent and linear power band. The electronics package makes all 128 horsepower manageable and approachable. Around the LYL go-kart track, the bike felt effortless to ride. Even riders with less experience would likely find the Street Triple RX accessible and confidence-inspiring.

Triumph continues to improve the design of the Street Triple lineup each year, and the RX is no exception. It looks absolutely stunning, and the fit and finish feel genuinely premium. What stands out most is how confidence-inspiring the bike is, it wants to be thrown into corners. The electronics allow you to squeeze the throttle confidently out of the apex without worrying about the rear tire getting squirrely.
