Aston Martin reveals their new F1 challenger, the AMR22
The Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team has proudly revealed its 2022 FIA Formula One® World Championship challenger, the AMR22. The British automaker revealed the AMR22 on Aston Martin’s sports car assembly line at Gaydon, is the latest addition to the brands racing bloodline.
Aston Martin was recently reintroduced to Formula One for the first time in six decades last season. So far, Aston Martin is the third team to reveal their 2022 Formula One’s look after Red Bull and Haas.

Through the race team and our status as the Official Safety & Medical Car of Formula One, we have been able to showcase our product and test new technologies on the world’s greatest circuits.”
The new AMR22, was unveiled during an online launch which also featured Aston Martin’s newest products in its high-performance portfolio. The launch included the likes of the worlds most powerful luxury SUV, the DBX707, and two other Aston Martin models which featured Formula One technology, the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro supercar and the Valhalla PHEV supercar.
The new Aston Martin Formula One contender has been designed with improved aerodynamics and a new unique look. This is to accommodate to Formula One’s newest rule changes for 2022 with the cars switching to ground effect aerodynamics and harsher design restrictions. The AMR22 will be wearing a similar British Racing Green livery as last year.
The launch also hosted Formula One drivers including the four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll who will be maintaining their position in the Aston Martin driver line-up for 2022. The AMR22 will hit the track for the first time during an unofficial test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team will begin the 2022 FIA Formula One® World Championship season at the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on 20 March 2022.
