Anhui’s Liu Zhanshu Says it Will Begin Mass Deliveries by End of September

Customers who placed orders on the Volkswagen ID. UNYX 07 are having to wait longer-than-expected delivery wait times due to chip supply constraints, according to Liu Zhanshu, CEO of Volkswagen Digital Sales & Services (Anhui) Co. Ltd.

Production capacity is expected to gradually recover in late September, with large-scale deliveries of the ID. UNYX 07 set to commence by the end of September.

The ID. UNYX 07, launched on May 23, is the second model from Volkswagen (Anhui) Automotive Company Ltd. and the first sedan under the Gold Label Volkswagen brand. It is also Volkswagen’s first all-electric vehicle equipped with the CEA (China Electronic Architecture), an E/E architecture specifically developed for the Chinese market.

The official manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the Pure trim is RMB 129,900, with a limited-time promotional price of RMB 109,900; the Pure SE trim has an MSRP of RMB 139,900 and a limited-time promotional price of RMB 119,900.

The ID. UNYX 07 measures 4,853 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width, and 1,566 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,826 mm. It is powered by an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 170 kW and features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells supplied by Gotion High-Tech, offering a CLTC-rated combined driving range of 558 km.
