BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has introduced the limited-edition 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance in conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebrations. Only 69 units will be available nationwide, marking the completion of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 line-up in Malaysia
The new Performance variant sits above the existing Ultra and Premium models, bringing more power, all-wheel drive and quicker acceleration to the electric SUV. It produces a combined 330kW and 560Nm, making it the most powerful BYD ATTO 3 offered so far
With its all-wheel-drive system, the Performance can accelerate from 0–100km/h in 4.0 seconds. Despite the additional performance, it retains the practical SUV layout and everyday usability of the standard ATTO 3
The 2026 range now consists of three variants, with the Ultra positioned as the entry-level model, the Premium offering greater range and rear-wheel drive, and the Performance serving as the flagship with the highest output and all-wheel drive
BYD ATTO 3 Performance Specifications
The Performance variant uses a 74.88kWh BYD Blade LFP battery and offers a claimed 530km NEDC range. It supports DC fast charging at up to 220kW, allowing faster charging during longer journeys
The model also receives several additional features over the existing variants. These include a windscreen Head-Up Display (W-HUD) and, for the first time in the ATTO 3 line-up, a vehicle refrigerator with both cooling and heating functions
The Performance also carries over the enhanced ADAS package from the Premium variant. This includes Intelligent Speed Limit Control (ISLC), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) and Front Cross Traffic Brake (FCTB)
The ATTO 3 Performance measures 4,455mm long, 1,875mm wide and 1,615mm tall, with a 2,720mm wheelbase. It also comes with a panoramic sunroof, 15.6-inch central display, 8.8-inch digital instrument panel and 50W wireless charging
Pricing And Availability
The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 Performance is priced at RM149,800, while the existing Ultra and Premium variants remain at RM125,800 and RM138,800 respectively
The Performance is offered in Ski White, Atlantis Grey, Harbour Grey and Cosmos Black
The limited 69-unit allocation is linked to Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebration. The new model is available for viewing and booking at authorised BYD showrooms, with customers also invited to experience the vehicle between 11 and 13 September
Launch Package And Warranty
BYD is offering two options as part of the Performance launch package. Customers can choose a wall charger with standard installation plus up to RM6,000 in overtrade, or a six-year standard service package with up to RM5,000 in overtrade
The vehicle comes with a six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, while the Blade Battery and drive unit receive eight-year or 160,000km coverage
Customers also receive a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) adapter and Type 2 charging cable with a three-pin plug
With the Performance variant, the BYD ATTO 3 range now covers three different approaches, from the more affordable Ultra to the longer-range Premium and the higher-performance all-wheel-drive model
