Jetour T2 Dark Warrior Limited Edition Launched Locally

This limited-run all-black Jetour T2 supposedly arrives in celebration of Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka.
There must be quite a lot of black bits lying around the Jetour factory, because not long after the Dashing Dark Warrior Edition comes the T2 Dark Warrior Limited Edition. Supposedly launched in conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebrations, just 69 units of this limited-run SUV will be made available locally.

Now as its name suggests, the T2 Dark Warrior gets a rather sinister all-black treatment. These black bits include a matte black exterior, blacked-out roof rails, a black Jetour logo and T2 emblem at the rear, as well as red brake calipers.
Though that’s not all, as all of these Dark Warrior T2s will also come fitted with a genuine Jetour Dark Warrior accessory package. Priced at RM 10,800, this package comprises a guard rail, unique grille, modular side ladder, Warrior roof rack, Stealth emblems and side hanging plate, giving this faux-fender a considerably more rugged appearance.

Underneath all that black meanwhile, the T2 remains mechanically unchanged. Power continues to come from a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine producing 180 kW (245 PS) and 375 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and Jetour’s Intelligent XWD all-wheel-drive system with 7+X drive modes.
The T2 also retains its spacious and connected cabin, alongside a comprehensive suite of safety equipment including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, six SRS airbags and a Panoramic View Monitoring System. It has also achieved a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.

Jetour states that the T2 Dark Warrior Limited Edition itself carries a nett selling price of RM156,800, which is actually the same as the standard T2. But… buyers are obligated to also take the RM10,800 Dark Warrior accessory package as part of the purchase, bringing the total price of the complete limited-edition specification to RM167,600, excluding registration fees, road tax and insurance.
Ownership is further covered by five complimentary service maintenance appointments, a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and a 10-year/1,000,000 km powertrain warranty, whichever comes first. The Dark Warrior accessory package itself comes with a three-year/100,000 km warranty.
And as for those who are not particularly keen on all this black, the standard T2 remains available in Khaki White and Aviation Silver.
