The latest 11th generation Honda Civic has launched in Malaysia. This highly anticipated model is set to launch in Malaysia within in the next coming months.
The new Honda Civic is being sold in 3 different variants – E, V and the sporty RS variant. This is the first time Honda is introducing the Civic in the sporty RS variant. The RS variant comes with a sportier appearance. It includes black painted exterior features that are exclusive to the RS.
All the variants are equally equipped with a standard 1.5 liter VTEC Turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine is an enhanced version of the Turbocharged engine in the last gen Civic, which contributed to 60% of the Civic’s sales. It has a power output of 182 PS and 240Nm of torque.
What’s more, the rear LED combi lights and trunk spoiler paired with the LED headlights with LED daytime running lights give the Civic its sleek look. The twin tailpipes with chrome finisher and 18-inch matte black alloy wheels are other standard exterior features.
Some performance features include remote engine start, paddle shift, continuous variable transmission and leather gear boot and 3 different driving modes which are normal, econ and sport, tailored to your driving needs.
The all-new Civic has a high-quality interior with its leather seats and leather steering wheel. A boot space of 497L large enough for most needs. The inside also features a 9-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Other features include the electric parking brake, steering wheel control buttons and Honda SENSING, a sophisticated safety system.
Speaking about safety, the Civic comes with standard 6 airbags, auto brake lock, vehicle stability assist, multi-angle rear view camera, emergency stop signal and a walk away auto lock. Honda SENSING also comes with a new feature, called the Lead Car Departure Notification System designed to alert the driver about the departure of the preceding car during idle times.

Honda’s new Civic is available in 4 different monochrome colors – Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic, with a signature Ignite Red Metallic for all variants.
The price for the E variant is RM125,634.64, while the V variant is priced at RM138,043.36. Honda customers can own the RS variant at the price of RM144,350.09. Honda Malaysia expects to sell 900 units per month.
