Lotus’ PHEV Version Of Its Eletre SUV Is Actually Called ‘For Me’

Yes, the Lotus For Me is the actual name of the first PHEV SUV from the historically British sports car marque.
When people think of a Lotus for them, their first thoughts will likely be of a lithe, lightweight sports car. But apparently, the Lotus For Me is now instead a PHEV Eletre — because that is what the historically British sports car marque has decided to call its plug-in hybrid version of its massive e-SUV.

Now aside from its funny name (which will likely be changed before it ventures beyond its Chinese debut market), the other main thing worth noting about the Lotus For Me is of course its plug-in hybrid powertrain. This premiere PHEV setup from the (Sino-)British marque pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot with an electric motor on each axle, all juiced by a sizeable 70 kWh battery pack.
This PHEV configuration is reportedly good for a combined peak output of 952 horsepower, enabling the 2.6-tonne SUV to still rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. Its massive battery is in turn slated to provide a CLTC pure-electric range of 420 km, with its 900V high-voltage electrical architecture supports 6C fast charging for a 30% to 80% top-up in just eight minutes.

As for the rest of the car here, the Lotus For Me remains largely identical to the regular Eletre. It does not appear to have gained any additional vents to cool the ICE tucked under its hood, with only a revised active front grille pattern serving as the main tell-tale for anoraks looking to spot the PHEV variant.
Lotus has yet to fully detail the cabin of its For Me, but it is expected to mirror the standard Eletre’s layout. This therefore includes a 15.1-inch full-HD OLED central display, dual 12.6-inch driver and passenger screens, and a massive 29-inch head-up display.

The chassis setup for the Lotus For Me is said to continue featuring dual-chamber, dual-valve air suspension with CCD (Continuous Damping Control) and adaptive damping, complemented by an active stabiliser bar and an active rear spoiler. Custom Pirelli P Zero 5 LTS tyres and Brembo six-piston front callipers round out the hardware package.
The Lotus For Me is slated to make its international debut in China come January 2026, before making its way to other global markets later in the year. This PHEV powertrain should also eventually find its way into the Emeya in due course.
