Swedish Auto Unveils Certified Body & Paint For Volvo Cars

Raising the bar for sustainable operations, the Volvo Cars dealer, Swedish Auto which is part of the vast Sime Darby Motors group has now started operations for Volvo Cars accident repairs at their Centralised Body and Paint Centre located in Bukit Jelutong.

This facility was just recently accredited with the Volvo Certified Damage Repair Centre (VCDR) standard. Ensuring the highest quality for body repair and paint services, the world-class VCDR standard ensures that sustainable technology and state-of-the-art processes are integrated within the facility to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable energy consumption.

The VCDR standard involves the use of a state-of-the-art body repair system and advanced tools, including a fast and highly accurate 3D sensor-equipped measuring system. An efficient paint booth setup was also put in place, creating a well-ventilated and dust-free environment. This will consistently provide the best outcome and finishing for Volvo cars.

The VCDR programme was launched at Sime Darby Swedish Auto in Ara Damansara. In conjunction with the launch, from now until 31 December 2022, every customer who spends a minimum of RM3,000 on body and paint repair services at Sime Darby Swedish Auto will be eligible to receive free interior and exterior detailing as well as ozone cleaning worth RM1,200. Equipped with the latest technology and trained technicians, the Sime Darby Motors Centralised Body and Paint Centre located in Bukit Jelutong is currently one of only two Volvo service centres in Malaysia to be aligned with the VCDR standard.

With the capacity for 1,260 vehicles per year, the facility has the capabilities to provide body repair and paint services for a range of Volvo cars, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
