Roslan is Vice President, Sales and Marketing Proton
For most of you reading this, the name and the face might not click anywhere in your memory, but if you are from the media and automotive industry this name and face is very well know. Closer look at his picture and you might remember the face from every single Honda Malaysia car launch, news conference and even showroom opening for the past many years when he was President and COO of Honda Malaysia (see picture below) before joining DEFTECH.
Roslan Abdullah comes with years of valuable experience with Honda Malaysia when the Honda brand managed to work its product marketing and branding to take on Toyota Malaysia to be the number 1 selling non national car brand. Honda Malaysia was the only Honda team globally to overtake Toyota for the top position, which they still hold on today.
Now, in the ‘drivers’ seat at Proton Edar, he can share his experience from Honda in taking on Perodua in Malaysia in national car sales.

His stint in the industry covered finance, operations and sales roles. Prior to his move to PROTON, the Finance & Accountancy degree holder from the University of Brighton, United Kingdom, oversaw the operations of DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (DEFTECH).
