New Jaguar XF launched in Malaysia for RM498,000
Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia have just launched the new Jaguar XF with a refreshed design and interior. This new model is an improved version of the previous XF which was launched here in 2016.
In terms of looks, the front-end design has been changed. It now features a new grille that facilitates lower air intake, all-LED headlights with the ‘Double J’ signature and a sleek rear bumper for a refined and modern appearance.
The interior of the Jaguar XF has also been updated. The centre console now merges into the dashboard and is now equipped with a wireless device charger. The central touchscreen display has been changed to a 11.4-inch curved glass HD display with Pivi Pro infotainment. Not to mention, it is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
Aside from this, the overall technology in the new Jaguar XF has been improved. It now features Active Road Noise Cancellation technology built into the Meridian Sound system, the latest generation of driver assistance technology, Adaptive Cruise Control and a Driver Condition Monitor.
Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director, Retail & Distribution, Sime Darby Motors Malaysia, commented, “We strive to offer world-class vehicles that suit the diverse needs and preferences of Malaysians. In line with this, the Jaguar XF is a mid-size luxury sedan that is best in its class, renowned for its superb performance. With continued robust growth in the luxury car market, we are confident that the latest model is a highly attractive option.”
The price of the new Jaguar XF is RM498,000 which includes SST but excludes road tax, registration and insurance. This is around RM40,000 more expensive than the previous model at launch.
The new Jaguar XF will be available in the R-Dynamic version. The 2.0 litre four-cylinder 250PS Ingenium petrol engine can accelerate from zero to 100km/h within 7.1 seconds for this RWD model. All engines are paired with Jaguar’s eight-speed automatic gearbox, which can be controlled using the steering wheel shift paddles for added driver engagement.
The new Jaguar XF was fully booked at the pre-launch phase. With the launch, bookings have opened again but will be expected to sell out quickly again.
