Mercedes-Benz have just launched three of their most recent electric models in Malaysia. All these three models are from the EQ family, and they include the Mercedes-Benz EQS, Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 and Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 Matic.
Out of all these models, the Mercedes-Benz EQS is the most anticipated one. It was first premiered in April of last year and has since captured the attention of many car enthusiasts. This was because the EQS is the first ever electric luxury car produced by Mercedes-EQ.
The EQS is also the first model to be based on the modular architecture for luxury and executive-class electric vehicles. The innovative and holistic design is based on a new vehicle architecture. It differs from vehicles with internal combustion engines at first glance: highest demands on function and aerodynamics are combined with innovative aesthetics in the unmistakable purpose design. Sensual Purity is reflected in generously modelled surfaces, reduced joints and seamless transitions (seamless design).
The all new EQS 450+ comes equipped with the AMG line exterior and body styling and features a 53.3 cm (21-inch) AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels. The radiator grille marks a bold claim with the Mercedes-Benz pattern along with the panoramic sunroof making this luxury electric sedan stand out from the rest. The EQS 450+ is furnished with the DIGITAL LIGHT package featuring the Digital Lighting itself, continuous reflector strips on the front, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.
The interior features many modern and advanced features to provide passengers with a pleasant ride. This includes Ambient lighting as a standard, allowing drivers to showcase the interior according to your personal preferences or current mood. There are also wraparound light strips and trim elements amalgamate to form an additional lighting level. This also supports driving assistance systems visually, thus emphasising the intelligence of the vehicle.
Other great features that are available in the EQS include upholstery in Nappa leather black, power front seats with memory function, MBUX tablet in the rear, wireless charging system, THRMOTRONIC automatic climate control, EASY-PACK tailgate and load compartment cover.
If this isn’t enough for the buyer, the Acoustic Comfort package, interior light package and keyless-go comfort package all provide additional features for convenience and better looks.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS is powered by a the next generation of batteries, capable of a total capacity of 107.8kWh. It produces 333hp and 565Nm of torque, allowing the EV to reach 100km/h in only 6.2 seconds. According to Mercedes-Benz, the EQS has an electric range of around 782km. Top speed is 210km/h.
