This all-new Emgrand will be utilizing the company’s B-segment Modular Architecture (BMA) that is also used other Geely models such as the Bin Yue, which is sold as the Proton X50 in Malaysia, Bin Rue and the ICON. The Emgrand measures in at 4,638 mm long, 1,820 wide and 1,460 mm tall. These dimensions seem to be more similar to that of a C-segment sedan instead of a B-segment one.

Since its launch in 2009, the Emgrand has seen more and more advanced specifications with each generation. The Emgrand has also maintained its reputation as one of the best-selling sedans in China for the past 9 years.

This all-new fourth generation Emgrand will run on a 1.5-liter Dual Continuous Variable Valve Timing (DVVT) engine that delivers 102PS and 142Nm of torque. The engine is fully made out of aluminum alloy giving it a longer lifespan while also making it easier to maintain and lightweight. The engine is mated with an 8-speed Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).
