Ducati Records New Revenue Record Again In 2022

Ducati is closing the third quarter of 2022 with celebrations as they release news of another record revenue figure which increased its operating profit and reported a year-on-year growth in deliveries. The great news continues as Ducati in Malaysia (Next Bike) celebrates 3 Global recognitions in 2022.

This is great news after the Italian brand suffered volume losses in the first half of the year due to supply issues. Even other brands had similar issues with global logistics slowdown and parts availability.

So good were the numbers, in fact, that Ducati reported a revenue of €872 Million for the first nine months of the this year.

This figure is the highest ever reported by Ducati over the same period in the past years and is indicative of a 21 percent growth compared to the same period of time last year.

On top of that, an improved operating profit of 62 percent from the same period of time this year compared to 2021 from €67 million to €109 million also positively improved these figures.

Moreover, Ducati delivered 49,873 motorcycles to their clients from the beginning of the year, a slight increase from the same period of time last year, which only saw 49,719 deliveries in the same period of time. This means that the year-on-year loss in deliveries that the brand reported in the first semester of 2022 has been resolved.

Ducati has also confirmed that China indeed had the best growth rate among main markets as they delivered 8,283 bikes in the region, followed by the USA in second with 6,595 deliveries and Germany behind that with 5,701 deliveries. This shows strong popularity for the brand in China.

Additionally, the brand also confirms that the Multistrada V4 model remains its most popular model in the third quarter of the year with the brand delivering 8,776 units of this bike in the Ducati lineup. The next most popular bike is the Monster range with 6,903 deliveries with the Scrambler 800 behind that achieving 5,771 deliveries.

Another major factor behind this success is the Ducati brand’s exclusive collaborations which affirm the attractiveness of Ducati as a lifestyle brand. Some of these collaborations include Lamborghini, Bulgari, Poltrona Frau and Carrera. In fact, some of these collaborations resulted in creations outside the realm of two wheels.

Finally, the Ducati brand is continually being established in more regions across the globe than ever before. This also plays a part in the brand’s recent success. This is, in no small part, a result of the brand’s extensive dealer network that is projected to reach more than 820 stores in 90 countries by the end of the year.
