Heineken Offering RM 10 Off Grab Rides This Festive Season

Use the promo code ‘ENJOYRESPONSIBLY’ to redeem up to 2 Grab ride vouchers courtesy of Heineken.

’Tis the season to be jolly, but that doesn’t make it an excuse to drink and drive. And happily, Heineken Malaysia may be here to help, as the alcoholic beverage producer has just announced that it will be offering a RM 10 discount off Grab rides this festive season as it advocates for responsible enjoyment of its products.

Said promotion period for these Grab vouchers will be from the 23rd to 25th of December. By keying in the promo code ‘ENJOYRESPONSIBLY‘, consumers can redeem up to two Grab ride vouchers to and from their event while stocks last.

Renuka Indrarajah, Heineken Malaysia’s Corporate Affairs & Legal Director, said of this corporate initiative: “This festive season is an opportune time to gather with friends and family. Amid the celebrations, we want to remind consumers to consume responsibly and not put themselves as well as others on the road at risk.”

“Remember, When You Drive, Never Drink. As a progressive brewer, we are committed to advocating responsible consumption. These Grab ride vouchers aim to encourage consumers to do the right thing and take alternative transport when going out for a drink. At the end of the day, we want to ensure that our consumers can relish the festivities and get home safely.” Renuka added.

Since 2010, Heineken Malaysia has significantly invested in promoting responsible consumption, with an investment of over RM 9 million. Additionally, the Heineken brand also allocates 10% of its annual media spend to further advocate for responsible drinking practices.

And just note too that even if these vouchers are all claimed, it is still cheaper to take a Grab or ask a non-drinker to be the driver. Such is because drink-driving not only incurs a harsh penalty if caught over here in Malaysia, but no one really wants to live with having put another life in danger while on the road this festive period do they?
