BHPetrol Signs Up MAXIS For Better Retail Experience
Can MAXIS provide BHPetrol stations with the best possible service
Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd, better known as BHPetrol, has selected Malaysian cellular network provider, Maxis, to be part of BHPetrol’s wide scale digitalisation exercise to improve customer experience at their retail stations.
Under this new collaboration, Maxis, as a network provider will deploy its managed SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) to power BHPetrol’s outdoor payment terminals at every petrol pump and Point of Sale systems at all its retail stations in Peninsular Malaysia ensuring greater convenience.
Moreover, SD-WAN offers adaptable, scalable, and affordable converged connectivity solutions with built-in security measures to ensure end-to-end communication protection and to date, Maxis’ SD-WAN has already been rolled out to more than 240 locations, with implementation at other stations expected to be completed by the end of the year.

BHPetrol envisions a future retail experience unlike any other that requires a reliable, ultra high-speed network which can be delivered by Maxis’ SD-WAN.
Both companies are also exploring future opportunities to implement Smart Retail technologies, including shopping behaviour analytics, proximity payment, and mobile wallet and biometric authentication solutions.
In conjunction with the collaboration, both Maxis and BHPetrol are offering exclusive cash rebates to Maxis and Hotlink users until 30 June 2023. To take advantage of these deals, users need only download them from the Maxis or Hotlink app and redeem them at participating BHPetrol stations.
