Unveiling the Mercedes-AMG A-Class, Power and Style in a Compact Format
Mercedes-Benz introduces the highly anticipated Mercedes-AMG A-Class, combining power and style in a compact package. This new addition to the model series represents the sporty top end of the line-up.
With its refreshed design, the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC is available as a saloon, while the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ is offered as a hatchback, continuing to captivate drivers with its un-rivaled performance.
The Mercedes-AMG A-Class showcases a revised look that immediately catches the eye. The front headlamps, AMG-specific radiator grille, and the new round badge featuring the iconic AMG emblem replace the traditional Mercedes star with a laurel wreath, lending a distinct AMG identity to the vehicle.
The AMG A 35 4MATIC boasts a new front apron and power domes reminiscent of the AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+, creating a cohesive and powerful AMG face. Notable exterior features include new wheel designs, a rear spoiler lip, revised rear headlamps, and signature round exhaust pipes (twin-flow on the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+).
The AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ is equipped with aerodynamically optimized 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in matt black with a high-sheen rim flange, while the AMG A 35 4MATIC features 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels. Both models come with red-painted brake calipers and Adaptive High-beam Assist Plus.
The new Mercedes-AMG A-Class offers a range of interior features as standard to enhance the driving experience. The AMG Performance steering wheel, equipped with AMG steering wheel buttons, allows drivers to control AMG-specific functions like the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT without taking their hands off the wheel.
The AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ features a newly designed steering wheel with touch-control panels, offering enhanced functionality and convenience. The steering wheels of both models are wrapped in luxurious materials such as nappa leather and MICROCUT microfiber. The AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ also includes the Multicontour Seat package paired with the AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced, while the AMG A 35 4MATIC comes with sport seats.
The interior features ARTICO man-made leather/MICROCUT microfiber AMG upholstery with Aluminium AMG Design trim elements in black/silver, providing a stylish and sporty atmosphere.
Both models boast additional features like red MANUFAKTUR seat belts, AMG floor mats, ambient lighting in 64 colors, and illuminated door sills with “AMG” lettering, enhancing the overall sportiness of the cabin.
The Mercedes-AMG A 35 now includes a 48-volt auxiliary power supply and a belt-driven starter-generator (RSG), providing an output of 225 kW/306 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm.
As a mild hybrid, the RSG offers 10 kW of additional power at start-up, enhancing agility. Both models are equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8-speed transmission for optimal performance.
The AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ features a 4-cylinder Turbocharged Petrol Engine, enabling acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
