Why electric vehicle ownership makes sense for some car buyers

With an internal combustion engine (ICE) car (diesel or petrol) you have to worry a little about ….. the following below mentioned items every year.

  • Timing Belts or Chains

  • Fuel Filters
  • Radiators Leaks
  • Fan Belts

The average electric vehicle today (From China or Korea or Europe and even Japan) needs around 200 moving parts to operate, compared to a ICE vehicle which needs onwards of 2,000 parts.

All the maintenance an electric car really needs is:

  • Tire Rotations (more often due to the added weight of the electric against being abused on our badly maintained Malaysian roads)
  • Cabin Air filter replacements (with lower city air quality this will be more often)
  • Brake fluid changes (might be more often as electric vehicles need heavy duty brakes due to their added weight and also faster acceleration)
