WeRide Autonomous Test Vehicle Accident In Dubai

The autonomous test vehicle of WeRide (HKEX: 0800, NASDAQ: WRD) was involved in an accident during Abu Dhabi DRIFTx. The side of the vehicle was severely damaged, with side sensors detached and the side mirror fallen off.

According to the report, the incident occurred when the human-operated vehicle merged into the lane occupied by the autonomous vehicle (robotaxi) without giving a signal. No injuries were reported.
