Looks like the Mini Countryman driver pressed her accelerator pedal too hard at the junction and the result is 6 damaged vehicles in this accident and lucky there were no serious injuries or fatalities reported.
Meanwhile, Johor Bahru South officer in charge of a police district assistant commander Raub Selamat said the incident was believed to have happened on Oct 16 when the 49-year-old insurance agent was heading from Jalan Pingai towards Jalan Kuning in Taman Pelangi.
A total of six vehicles were damaged in this accident, with one landing on top of a parked vehicle. There was also minor damage to a shop’s signage in the incident that happened at 9.14am.
“The Mini Countryman, driven by a 49-year-old woman, had earlier failed to slow down at an intersection and the driver had inadvertently stepped on the accelerator instead. “This caused the car to accelerate and crashed into the five parked cars,” he said in a statement yesterday.
This case is being investigated under the Road Transport Regulations 10 (1) LN 166/59.
