Honda Malaysia has recently announced the appointment of Mr. Narushi Yazaki as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st April 2025. Mr. Narushi Yazaki succeeds Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, who has previously was the top man at Honda Malaysia over the past three years.
The incoming Mr. Yazaki has over 25 years of extensive experience with Honda, having held key leadership roles across multiple countries, including Japan, Thailand, and the United States. Before assuming his current position in Honda Malaysia, Mr. Yazaki was attached to Corporate Administration Operations at Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Mr. Yazaki stated, “I am honoured to take on this responsibility at Honda Malaysia, a market known for its dynamic growth and significant contributions to the Honda brand in the Asia and Oceania region. Mr. Yoshimura, the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia, has since undertaken a new role in Honda’s head office, Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Tokyo, effective 1st April 2025. Mr. Yoshimura played a key role in maintaining Honda Malaysia’s leading position in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle segment for 11 consecutive years and successfully navigated the company through a challenging post-pandemic environment.
Honda Malaysia is set to launch 3 new models in 2025, with the first of these three being the newly-facelifted Civic that made its debut earlier in the year. Among the other new local launches in the upcoming months will include the e:N1 all-electric small SUV, marking the Japanese automaker’s first foray into the EV sector over here.
