Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus Can Go Up To 450 km On A Charge

This new flagship e.MAS 7 adds 40 km of range thanks to a larger-capacity 68.39 kWh battery.

For those who like the e.MAS 7 but wish it could travel a little further between charging stops, Proton now has an answer. Such is as the national automaker has recently introduced the new flagship Premium Plus variant, which packs a larger 68.39 kWh battery and delivers up to 450 km of WLTP-rated range.

That represents a 40 km increase over the existing Premium variant, thanks to an additional 8 kWh of battery capacity compared to the 60.22 kWh pack previously offered.

The larger battery is paired with DC fast-charging capability of up to 115 kW, with Proton quoting the same 20-minute charging time from 30% to 80% state of charge. AC charging remains unchanged at 11 kW, though a full 10-100% charge now takes 6.7 hours, up slightly from the 6.1 hours required by the standard Premium variant.

Powertrain specifications remain unchanged from the Premium, with the e.MAS 7 Premium Plus continuing to use a front-mounted electric motor producing 218 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The added weight from the larger-capacity battery does, however, have a slight impact on performance, with the 0-100 km/h sprint now taking 7.4 seconds, compared to 7.1 seconds for the Premium.

To justify its position at the top of the range, the Premium Plus gains several additional comfort features. These include a massage function for both front occupants, alongside a powered leg rest for the front passenger seat.

Elsewhere, the Premium Plus retains all the equipment found in the Premium variant, including front passenger seat memory adjustment, a self-dimming rear-view mirror, a 16-speaker Flyme audio system with integrated headrest speakers, and a windshield-projected head-up display.

On the safety front, the Premium Plus continues with the comprehensive ADAS suite offered on the Premium, featuring evasive manoeuvre assist, active lane change assist and front cross-traffic alert. These complement the intelligent cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, emergency lane keep assist, lane change safety warning and traffic sign recognition systems that are standard across the e.MAS 7 range, including the entry-level Prime.

Six exterior colours are available for the 2026 e.MAS 7: Lithium White, Turquoise Green, Slate Grey, Platinum Silver, Quartz Rose and Obsidian Black. Buyers can choose between Indigo Blue and Alabaster White interior themes, though the latter is exclusively available on Premium and Premium Plus variants finished in Turquoise Green or Quartz Rose.

Pricing for the e.MAS 7 Premium Plus starts at RM 125,800, representing a RM 6,000 premium over the RM 119,800 Premium variant, while the entry-level Prime is priced at RM 103,800.

There is nevertheless currently offering a special launch rebate of RM 7,000 across the entire e.MAS 7 range in celebration of this new variant’s arrival, which thus reduces prices to RM 118,800 for the Premium Plus, RM 112,800 for the Premium, and RM 96,800 for the Prime.

In addition, PRO-NET is continuing to offer its Power Pack+ sales package that includes a RM 5,000 trade-in rebate, a complimentary 7 kW home charger worth RM 1,500, a V2L adapter valued at RM500, a five-year unlimited data package worth RM 1,800, as well as a complimentary tonneau cover.
