Nissan Serena S-Hybrid facelift hits Malaysian showrooms for RM149,888  

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), distributor and importer of Nissan vehicles for over 60 years has finally revealed the all-new facelift for the Nissan Serena S-Hybrid. The variants include the Highway Star for RM149,888 and Premium Highway Star at RM162,888. This facelifted version includes a new exterior and interior as well as improved safety.

The Serena S-Hybrid was first introduced in 2013. It quickly became one of the best-selling MPV’s out there thanks to its great technologies and features and a good price as well. Over the years, the Serena S-Hybrid got improved. The new facelift for the MPV is seeing its biggest changes yet.

Daniel Ho, Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Chong Motor Holdings said “Edaran Tan Chong Motor introduced the first Family MPV in 1997 and since then, 4 generations of the Serena have served and met the needs of multiple generations of Malaysian families, providing wonderful moments together.  More than 45,000 units have been sold nationwide to date, and in 2021, it was the best-selling Non-National Mid-size MPV in the country.”

The new Serena S-Hybrid now includes Redesigned Dual Projector LED Headlamps and new V-motion Front Grille. There is also a Redesigned Front Bumper with integrated Fog Lamps and Daytime Running Lights at each corner, while the Rear Bumper has added Gloss Black Finishing for a classy touch. Newly designed rear LED tail lights also identify the latest Serena.

Exterior

As for the new safety features, Nissan have added new Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies into the new Serena S-Hybrid as part of the 360° Safety Shield. The 360° Safety Shield comes with five new safety features and technologies which include Intelligent Predictive Forward Collision Warning & Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

With all these new changes, will the Serena continue to beat tough competitors in its segment? Well, one of the most appealing things about the new Nissan MPV is its price. Starting for less than RM150,000 for the Highway Star variant, it will easily rule out others with this price point.

The new Nissan Serena Hybrid is available in 4 colour choices.

The Serena Highway Star variant is offered with three exterior body colours that customers can choose from: Brilliant White, Tungsten Silver and Diamond Black. For the Premium Highway Star variant, the choices are Dark Metal Grey, Brilliant White, Radiant Red and Diamond Black. The premium variant also gets a 2-tone exterior colour scheme with the roof finished in black.
