Suzuki Sends Off Its Z33S Swift Sport With One Final Edition
This send-off special Swift Sport nets a clutch of cosmetic add-ons on the outside and in its cabin.
One of the last warm hatches around is soon to finally be consigned to the history books, as Suzuki has announced that its Z33S Swift Sport will soon be no more. But before production eventually comes to an end next year, the Japanese automaker is giving its pocket rocket one last hurrah in the form of an aptly-named ‘Final Edition’.
Predominantly an appearance package, the Final Edition Swift Sports is set apart from its standard siblings by way of a gloss black front grille and fog lamp bezels. Its 17-inch alloy wheels also net the same blacked-out treatment, which helps the crimson-painted brake calipers hiding behind pop that little bit more.
The red-black treatment meanwhile continues onto the ‘Sport’ emblem on its tailgate, with these Final Editions further netting some ‘Z33S’ decals on its C-pillars. Those who wish to spice things up even more too could opt to add some more pronounced aero elements, extra decals, headlight garnishes, a fuel lid cover. All of which are available from Suzuki’s own accessories catalogue.
Moving on within now, these Final Editions feature aluminium-style inserts on the dashboard, door cards, and center tunnel with a “heat gradation” effect. Additional touches include “Sport” lettering on the passenger side and “ZC33S powered by Suzuki” on the centre console, in addition to a gloss silver steering wheel garnish.
Unfortunately, these send-off special Swift Sports do not introduce any performance or chassis upgrades. Under the hood therefore still lies the familiar turbocharged K14C 1.4-litre four-pot, with it sending a modest 140 PS and 230 Nm of torque to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Rather annoyingly too for everyone not living in Japan, these Final Edition Swift Sports are to be a JDM-exclusive model. Pricing for these swan-song Suzuki warm hatches starts at ¥2,329,800 (RM 68,000) for the stick-shift, and ¥2,401,300 (RM 70,000) for the automatic.
The Final Editions will be produced from March to November 2025, picking up from when the standard versions stop rolling off the line come February next year. While there is already a new Swift on sale in certain regions already too, Suzuki has yet to officially confirm for there to be a hot version of it on the horizon. So this Final Edition might truly be the last of its kind (get them while you still can then!)
