Leapmotor B10 Launched Locally Costing From RM 107,900

This small e-SUV from Leapmotor arrives to challenge the likes of Perodua’s QV-E and Proton’s e.MAS 7.
While the larger C10 hasn’t exactly made waves in Malaysia, Leapmotor is nevertheless charging ahead with the launch of its new B10. This smaller SUV joins the local lineup in two variants — Life and Design — priced at RM 107,900 and RM 118,900 respectively.
It is nevertheless worth noting from the outset that the first 200 customers will receive an RM8,000 rebate for the Life and an RM9,000 rebate for the Design, bringing their prices down to RM99,800 and RM109,800. These initial 200 units will incidentally also be the only fully-imported (CBU) batches from China, with subsequent B10s set to be locally assembled at Stellantis’ plant in Gurun.

Measuring 4,515 mm long, 1,885 mm wide and 1,655 mm tall with a 2,735 mm wheelbase, the B10 sits just a smidge smaller than Proton’s e.MAS 7. Its exterior aesthetic in turn follows the same smooth, minimalist theme seen on the larger C10 sibling.
Slim full-LED headlamps with chequered-flag DRLs sit up front on the B10, while a full-width slim light bar spans the rear. Both variants ride on 18-inch Star Sports alloys, with suspension handled by a McPherson strut setup at the front and a multi-link arrangement at the rear.

Powering both variants is a single rear motor producing 218 PS and 240 Nm, good for a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 8 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h. The two variants differ slightly in their battery specifications, as detailed in the table below:
| Specifications | Life | Design |
| Battery | 56.2 kWh | 67.1 kWh |
| Driving Range (WLTP/NEDC) | 361 KM / 442 KM | 434 KM / 516 KM |
| Max DC Charging capacity | 140 kW | 168 kW |
| DC Charging Time (30%-80%) | Under 20 minutes | |
| Max AC Charging capacity | 11 kW | 11 kW |
| V2L Discharge Output | 3.3 kW | 3.3 kW |

Moving inside, the B10 features a minimalist dashboard layout anchored by an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating central infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Life variant gets manual-adjustable front seats and a six-speaker audio system, while the Design steps up with heated and ventilated power seats (six-way driver, four-way passenger), upgraded upholstery in liquid-resistant Oeko-Tex Standard 100 “silicone leather,” and six additional speakers. The Design further adds auto-folding side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, 64-colour ambient lighting, rear privacy glass and an electric tailgate.
Safety-wise, the B10 comes equipped with seven airbags, a 360º panoramic camera and rear parking sensors. Both variants also benefit from a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, intelligent speed assist, traffic jam assist, forward collision warning, AEB, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and emergency lane keeping.
Five striking colours are available with the B10 locally: Metallic Black, Light White, Tundra Grey, Dawn Purple and Starry Night Blue; the last of which was apparently inspired by the Van Gogh painting of the same name. Interior options pair the Life with a Dark Grey fabric cabin, while the flagship Design variant can be had in either Dark Grey or Shadow Grey ECO Leather.

The Leapmotor B10 is backed by a comprehensive warranty package consisting of a six-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty. Service intervals are set at one year or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.
