MG Establishes Dedicated Parts Warehouse In Klang Valley
This new MG parts warehouse aims to decrease maintenance downtimes for owners of its cars.
One of the prime factors that can bring down a brand’s name over time is poor aftersales support, with many a *ahem French* marques having previously fallen victim to this over here. So in their attempt to avoid a similar fate, MG has hence recently announced the establishment of a dedicated parts warehouse in the Klang Valley, to enhance the service efficiency and enabling the faster turnaround times for its vehicles over here.
With over 4,500 SKUs and more than 22,000 stocked parts, this new warehouse has been touted by MG to underscore its commitment to exceptional aftersales support over here. The parts stocked in this facility will be serving both its internal combustion engine and fully electric models, including apparently the upcoming Cyberster roadster.
The establishment of this parts warehouse comes as the once-British-now Chinese automaker celebrates the graduation of 39 certified MG technicians, adding to a rapidly growing network of authorised service centres of 12 currently operational, with 13 more opening soon. All authorised dealerships are also stocked with essential MG parts, ensuring that customers experience minimal wait times and seamless service support whenever they visit for maintenance.
“We’re incredibly grateful to MG owners who trust us with their vehicles. Our mission is to provide peace of mind and the best aftersales support possible,” said Lee Wen Hsiang, Chief Operating Officer of SAIC Motor Malaysia during the opening of this warehouse. “Our goal is to ensure that every MG vehicle is promptly serviced and ready for the road, giving our customers the proactive and dependable service they deserve.”
“We created this service and warranty package to deliver peace of mind and reliable support for every MG5 owner,” added Wen Hsiang. “Our goal is to provide exceptional aftersales service while keeping ownership costs manageable, so MG vehicles stay roadworthy for the long haul.”
And on a related note to ownership costs, MG is keen to highlight its transparency in publishing the pricing and maintenance schedules of all its models currently on offer (linked here). The automaker is further quick to point out that its MG5’s 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and 7-year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty is to be the best in its class.
For its all-electric MG4 and MG ZS EV meanwhile, the 12V battery is backed by a 1-year or 20,000 km warranty, along with a 7-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year unlimited mileage battery warranty.
