Combining the original SL’s distinctive sporty character with the unparalleled luxury and technological excellence of modern Mercedes-AMG vehicles, this roadster represents the epitome of automotive excellence.
As the series’ entry-level model, the SL 43 showcases ground-breaking technology, making it a standout in its class. It boasts the world’s first production vehicle application of an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, derived directly from Formula 1™.
This innovative technology addresses the traditional trade-off between a small, highly responsive supercharger with limited peak power and a larger supercharger that provides greater peak power but with delayed response.
The Mercedes-AMG SL 43 exudes a captivating presence with its striking front end featuring an AMG-specific radiator grille, signalling its performance-oriented aspirations. Every angle showcases the vehicle’s impressive design language, with elegant details such as flush-fitting door handles seamlessly blending into the overall aesthetic.
Key elements like the long wheelbase, short overhangs, extended bonnet, rear-set passenger compartment with a steeply raked windscreen, and a powerful rear end exemplify the classic SL proportions. The three-layer fabric soft top in black can be effortlessly opened or closed in just 15 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 60 km/h.

Equipped with a newly developed chassis, the SL 43 boasts a multi-link front axle, a first for Mercedes-AMG production vehicles.
