Geely Auto Group recorded a 41% increase in core net profit for the first nine months of 2026, reaching RMB14.9 billion (approximately RM9.8 billion). The growth came alongside rising exports and stronger sales from its Zeekr brand.

Group revenue increased 3% year-on-year to RMB272.6 billion (approximately RM179.3 billion). Despite the modest revenue growth, Geely improved its profitability during the period.

Gross margin rose to 18%, while its core net profit margin reached 5.5%. Core net profit per vehicle also increased 37% to RMB6,664 (approximately RM4,380).

The third quarter was particularly strong, with revenue rising 10% year-on-year to RMB98.96 billion (approximately RM65.1 billion). Core net profit for the July to September period increased 32% to RMB5.21 billion (approximately RM3.4 billion).

Geely sold more than 2.235 million vehicles across its brands during the first nine months. The Geely brand accounted for 1,750,960 units, including 877,184 electrified vehicles.

Zeekr and Lynk & Co Drive Growth

Zeekr was one of the group’s strongest performers, recording 288,404 vehicle sales during the period. Both its sales and revenue doubled year-on-year.

Its contribution to Geely’s total revenue also increased significantly, rising from 17.7% to 31.3%.

Meanwhile, Lynk & Co sold 196,117 vehicles. Electrified models accounted for more than 70% of its sales, marking a record share for the brand. Its sales outside China also increased 151%.

Exports Approach One Million Units

Exports were another major contributor to Geely’s growth. The group exported 797,670 vehicles during the first nine months, representing a 169% increase year-on-year. Electrified models accounted for 61% of these exports.

Geely also recorded more than 100,000 monthly overseas sales for four consecutive months between June and September. It is targeting one million overseas vehicle sales for the full year.

The company highlighted several models with leading sales positions in overseas markets. These include the Geely E2/EX2, EX5 EM-i, EX5, Lynk & Co 08, Zeekr 7X, Zeekr X and Zeekr 009.

Geely also plans to expand its international line-up with the Emgrand EM-i, Zhanjian 700 and Lynk & Co 07 GT.

The latest results highlight Geely’s growing overseas business and the increasing contribution of its electrified models. Its export performance will remain important as the group works towards its one-million-unit overseas sales target for 2026.
