The 2026 Vespa Primavera and Sprint officially make their Malaysian debut, bringing a fresh chapter to one of the world’s most iconic scooter brands. Celebrating Vespa’s 80th anniversary, the latest range combines timeless Italian styling with meaningful upgrades in performance, technology and rider comfort, while staying true to the brand’s unmistakable spirit of freedom, individuality and self-expression.
Powered by a new 180cc i-get engine, the updated Primavera and Sprint deliver stronger performance, smoother acceleration and improved confidence for everyday commuting and weekend rides alike. Designed around the needs of modern riders, the new lineup also introduces a host of premium technologies, including a full-colour LCD instrument display, keyless operation on selected variants, a 5-inch TFT display on the Sprint Tech, and dual-disc braking with two-channel ABS for enhanced safety and control.
According to Didi Group Executive Director, Mr. Juan, the new models represent more than just an increase in engine capacity.
While embracing modern technology, the new range remains unmistakably Vespa. The scooters retain their classic silhouette while introducing refreshed styling cues such as redesigned wheels, an updated front tie, revised body detailing and a commemorative 80th Anniversary emblem. Practical additions, including a retractable bag hook, further improve everyday usability, while a wide selection of genuine Vespa accessories allows owners to personalise their scooters to suit their individual style.
The 2026 lineup is offered in three distinct variants to cater to different rider preferences. The Primavera S features elegant bronze accents, diamond-cut wheels and premium saddle materials for a refined appearance. Riders seeking a sportier character can opt for the Sprint S, distinguished by bold red accents and updated wheel finishes. Sitting at the top of the range is the Sprint Tech, which combines the most advanced rider technologies with premium styling, TFT instrumentation and dual-disc ABS braking.
Reinforcing confidence in the latest generation of scooters, every 180cc Vespa model is backed by a comprehensive four-year or 60,000km factory warranty, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality, reliability and long-term ownership satisfaction.
Making its first public appearance at Art of Speed 2026, the new Vespa Primavera and Sprint continue the brand’s long-standing connection with design, creativity and lifestyle culture. The 2026 Vespa Primavera S 180 is priced at RM21,500, the Vespa Sprint S 180 at RM21,900, and the Vespa Sprint Tech 180 at RM23,500. All three models will be available at authorised Vespa dealerships nationwide beginning August 2026.
