The Mercedes CLS 63 AMG is still a very fast and desirable sports sedan.
In September 2005 Mercedes in Malaysia launched the CLS-Class for RM688,888 and it was not well received as it was more expensive than the Mercedes S-Class limo.
Its demand rose a few years later when private importers (AP holders) started selling used units in Malaysia for almost half the price and today many are sitting in workshops and used car dealers at very low prices because of the high technology CGI V6 engine that most of them had. This engine needed high quality fuel which at the time was not sold in Malaysia.
Today, the used car market is filled with this early CLS with prices ranging from just RM20k to a higher RM35k if in perfect running condition.
Meanwhile, here we have a 2013 model CLS 63 AMG with a 5.5L V8 engine that was imported into in Malaysia in 2014 and with just 89,000 plus kilometres on the odometer.
This is probably the last true sports sedan that you could buy for the price of a basic compact Benz.

Currently in our used car classifieds, there are dozens of CLS350 models from the same ear on sale and their asking prices range from RM110,000 to RM130,000.
Interestingly, there is only one other CLS 63 AMG on sale, at about the same asking price and this proves the rarity of this model and its higher desire value with affluent Malaysians looking for a sports sedan that will rival supercar on acceleration (3.6 seconds) and also drop dead looks.
If you need to know the yearly road tax value or its average yearly cost of maintenance, then clearly you cannot afford to buy this Mercedes.
