The new Honda City Hatchback RS e:HEV’s price has been revealed

After launching the all-new Honda City Hatchback in December last year, Honda Malaysia promised an e:HEV version of the RS in early 2022 with a price reveal. Today, Honda Malaysia has finally revealed the new City Hatchback RS e:HEV and its comes in at a price of RM107,783, on the road without insurance.

Honda Malaysia has already reported receiving more than 5,200 bookings for the City Hatchback. The company is confident that the RS e:HEV variant will set the benchmark in the market with its complete package of stylish RS exterior, e:HEV powertrain, Honda Sensing and advanced telematics Honda Connect.

Compared to its sedan counterpart, the RS e:HEV costs more than RM2,000 more, and bears a difference of almost RM20,000 more than the petrol version.

Honda City Hatchback RS e:HEV

The higher price grants you a more powerful engine in the 1.5-liter Sports Intelligent Multi-Mode Driver (i-MMD) powertrain that delivers 109PS and 253Nm of torque. This is paired with Electric Continuous Variable Transmission (e-CVT) which automatically switches between three driving modes: EV, Hybrid and Engine drive mode. According to Honda, this powertrain has a fuel consumption of 3.6 liters per 100km/h.

In terms of design, the RS e:HEV variant offers a more sportier look compared to the standard hatchback. It includes features like a gloss black front grille, solid wing and door mirrors, LED daytime running lights, a tailgate spoiler and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the City Hatchback RS e:HEV offers exclusive leather Ultrasuede seats with red-stitching, a 7-inch driver instruments display and an 8-inch display audio which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Another exclusive feature is the rear air conditioning ventilation which is only available in the RS variant.

Safety-wise, the vehicle is equipped with Honda Sensing, which boasts a wide range of safety features. Meanwhile, the hatchback still includes Honda LaneWatch, Electric Parking Brake (EPB), keyless entry with Remote Engine Start, Auto Brake Hold (ABH) and Honda Connect. For your information, Honda Connect allows its drivers to connect with their vehicles via a smartphone application.

The All-New City Hatchback RS e:HEV will come in three colour options: Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Platinum White Pearl. You can book a test drive at authorized Honda dealerships or through the HondaTouch app.
