Suzuki e VITARA Officially Launches in Malaysia

Naza Eastern Motors has officially launched the all-new Suzuki e VITARA in Malaysia, marking the debut of Suzuki’s first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV) and an important milestone in the brand’s global electrification journey. Introduced in limited numbers, the e VITARA offers Malaysian customers an exclusive opportunity to become among the country’s first owners of Suzuki’s inaugural electric SUV.

Built on the new HEARTECT-e platform, the e VITARA combines Suzuki’s reputation for practicality and reliability with modern electric mobility. Powered by a 61kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a newly developed eAxle electric drive system, it delivers 128kW (172hp) and 193Nm of torque, while offering a driving range of up to 426km on a full charge.

Designed around Suzuki’s “Emotional Versatile Cruiser” philosophy, the e VITARA features bold SUV styling with muscular wheel arches, signature three-point LED lighting elements, and a spacious cabin enhanced by a generous 2,700mm wheelbase. Inside, drivers are greeted by a modern digital cockpit featuring an integrated dual-screen display, wireless smartphone charging, a floating centre console with shift-by-wire controls, multiple USB ports, ambient lighting, and flexible cargo space for everyday practicality.

Charging convenience is another highlight, with the e VITARA supporting DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 45 minutes, while a full AC charge using a 7kW charger takes approximately nine hours. Drivers can also choose between Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes to suit different driving conditions.

Safety is equally comprehensive, with the electric SUV equipped with Suzuki’s latest driver assistance technologies including Dual Sensor Brake Support II, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a 360-degree camera system, and multiple collision braking, alongside a full suite of passive safety features.

The Suzuki e VITARA is priced from RM188,000 (on-the-road without insurance) and is available in five exterior colour options. Owners will receive a five-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, a five-year/100,000km warranty for BEV components, and an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty. To celebrate the launch, the first 10 customers will also enjoy five years of complimentary EV charging at selected Suzuki dealerships, subject to terms and conditions.

Alongside the e VITARA’s introduction, Naza Eastern Motors also announced a new five-year unlimited mileage warranty for selected Suzuki models, including the Jimny and Fronx range, further strengthening customer confidence as Suzuki expands its presence in Malaysia’s evolving automotive market.
