Proton Secured 3,000 e.MAS 7 Orders In A Month Since Its Launch

Proton has since also extended its launch promotion package offer to another 3,000 more bookings.

Proton has proudly announced recently that it has already secured a whopping 3,000 orders for its e.MAS 7, in just less than a month since this e-SUV made its local debut in late December.

And in celebration of this momentous milestone, the Malaysian marque is to be extending its special launch package to another 3,000 customers. This therefore will see for a total of 6,000 Malaysians to eventually enjoy a RM 4,000 price rebate off their Proton e-SUV, alongside these other perks:

  • Power Home: A free 7kW home charger (worth RM 1,500)
  • Power Plus: A complimentary V2L adaptor (worth RM 500)
  • Power Online: Unlimited internet for 5 years (worth RM 1,800)
  • Power Thru: A 6-year unlimited mileage warranty for the vehicle, plus an 8-year/160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery
  • Power Exchange: Exclusive Proton owner trade-in rebate worth RM 1,200

“Due to the overwhelming demand, we are excited to extend this offer so that more Malaysians can experience the Proton e.MAS 7 and the benefits of owning an EV. This milestone demonstrates the trust our customers have in us and their eagerness to move towards a greener future. We are truly grateful for the support, and we are committed to making electric cars more accessible to all,” said Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET.

The Proton e.MAS 7 is currently available in 2 variants: Prime & Premium. Both variants feature the same front-mounted ’12-in-1 Electric Drive System’ outputting 160 kW (218 PS) and 320 Nm of torque, which in turn sees for this e-SUV to quote a 0-100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 175 km/h.

Both variants of the e.MAS 7 are also to be powered by a battery pack comprising of Aegis Short Blade cells of a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. The Prime however comes a smaller 49.52 kWh battery pack that is only good for a WLTP-rated range of 345 km, whereas the Premium nets a larger unit with 60.22 kWh usable capacity, which hence extends that figure to 410 km.

Prices for the Prime variant of e.MAS 7 was originally slated to start at RM 109,800, while the Premium was set to be priced at RM 123,800. Thanks to the ongoing RM 4,000 rebate though, here is what this Proton e-SUV will currently cost in both Peninsular and East Malaysia for the first 6,000 customers:

Variant Peninsular Malaysia East Malaysia
e.MAS 7 Prime RM 105,800 RM 108,800
e.MAS 7 Premium RM 119,800 RM 122,800

One final interesting side note worth highlighting here regarding the e.MAS 7’s 3,000 booking figure meanwhile, if Proton does manage to convert all those orders to firm purchases, then the e.MAS 7 would all but likely be Malaysia’s best-selling EV in 2025. This is especially when considering that best-selling EV in Malaysia last year was the BYD Atto 3, which itself only accrued 2,969 local registrations over the last 12 months.
